Not many people know that the traditional indigo is produced from plant (indigiferna tinctoria) in a long and quite an expensive procedure.
Indigo is among the oldest dyes to be used for textile dyeing and printing.
Indigo, used as a dye, made its way to the Greeks and the Romans, where it was valued as a luxury product.
It made quite a comeback in the 70's and again in the last decade.
we defiantly cant get enough of it...
